POPULAR CRAFT AUTHOR SIGNS LITERARY AGENCY DEAL
Artist and author Tera Leigh and the Rita Rosenkranz Literary agency have signed a representation agreement. The Rita Rosenkranz agency, based in New York City, will work with Leigh on a multi-book deal focusing on the home décor crafts segment.
Leigh, author of the best-selling title, Complete Book of Decorative Painting and the forthcoming How to be Creative If You Never Thought You Could (both by North Light Books), has established a name in the craft industry since first becoming a columnist for PaintWorks magazine in 1998.
Evidencing her growing popularity, Leigh will write columns for four publications in 2003; PaintWorks, Quick & Easy Painting, ToleWorld, and Country Marketplace magazines. Leigh also provides freelance work for Decorative Artist’s Workbook and Artist’s Magazine Sketchbook. Leigh’s design work has been published in a wide variety of publications ranging from Romantic Homes to Crafts magazine. Her work has also been licensed for both craft and home décor products.
Rita Rosenkranz, who founded Rita Rosenkranz Literary Agency in 1988, handles mostly nonfiction titles. Her wide-ranging list includes health, self-help, spirituality, decorative books, and memoirs.
